1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, account type and status.
- Profile data: headline, location, bio, skills, progress levels.
- Documents: files you upload (CVs, certificates, portfolios).
- Platform activity: applications, saved jobs, consents, essential security logs.
We do not store raw IP addresses with your consent record. We store a truncated, non-identifying user-agent string solely to evidence consent integrity.
2. How your profile is used
Your skills profile powers recommendations and lets approved employers find you. You control what appears publicly versus privately.
3. Documents and storage
Uploads go to private storage. Only you can view, download or delete your own files. Administrators cannot browse your files; any administrative access to documents happens only through authorized workflows and is audit-logged.
4. Employer visibility
Employers must be approved by administrators before using employer features. Approved employers see only the learner information necessary for recruitment.
5. Provider and course listings
Institution and course entries include their source and verification status so you can judge how current the information is. Listing data belongs to its providers; we display it to help you discover learning.
6. Communications & administrative access
Your messages are private. Authorized administrators may access communications only for safety, dispute resolution, abuse prevention or legal compliance. Every such access is recorded in our admin audit log.
7. Retention & deletion
- Delete documents anytime from your Documents page.
- Account deactivation is reversible; deletion requests remove personal data subject to legal retention duties.
- Audit logs are retained for security accountability.
8. Security
We enforce row-level security so users can only modify their own data, privileged actions require server-side authorization, and sensitive operations are logged. Never share your password.
